Jessica is a native Dallasite who attended The Hockaday School and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. She received a B.A. in English from SMU in 1992. Jessica began her swimming career in the summer of 1986 when she volunteered her skills to help visually impaired children learn to swim. She moved on to assist a local well-known swim instructor for three years. In 1992, Jessica ventured out on her own and started Swimmers by Jessica.

Jessica has earned a great reputation over the last thirty-two years and to date has taught over 10,000 children the basic techniques of swimming and water safety.
